The book suggested to store all the cut pieces in a cutlery tray. Not finding one that I felt suited the job I went digging through my boxes for my threads. I had been using this thin tackle box for my smaller metallic thread spools and with the removeable slats, it made a perfect storage solution to keep me organized. Not to mention the lid with snap closures is great for transporting.

  1. I love the hardware & camping sections of stores for finding my quilting needs. They are always cheaper than the things you buy in the quilters section. I have purchased tackle boxes for just the same purpose you are showing, and thos heat resistent plastic washers that come in all kinds of sizes are great for making applique circles. Then there are those boxes on wheels for hauling all our stuff.
